Edible Landscape Design and Holistic Chef Services
• In 2008, I became a Garden Leader for an organic community garden in a low income neighborhood in Denver. I taught families how to grow and cook their own food, spearheaded a farm-to-cafeteria program, and created a donation service for a homeless food pantry.
• On the side I started a small design/build landscaping business where I turned people’s backyards into an edible oasis of herbs, fruits, and vegetables and educated them on seed saving, companion planting, organic pest control, harvesting, cooking, and preserving food.
• I hosted a monthly pop-up dinner called The Denver Secret Supper Club where I cooked 3-5 course meals and self-published a book called “Seasonal Cooking in Colorado.”
• In 2014-2015 I traveled the West Coast and apprenticed on several farms in Northern California to gain more knowledge in drought-tolerant farming, blending tisanes, naturopathic remedies, humane animal husbandry, and running farmers’ markets.
As a holistic personal chef, I’m a firm believer in the slow-food movement. I cook everything from scratch using seasonal, organic whole foods and herbs that are locally sourced from farmers markets, CSAs, independent grocers, and food co-ops. I prepare meals for all types of restrictive diets [including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, diabetic, and low-sodium] and have experience with non-radical detoxification/cleanses, pre- and post-surgery healing, juicing, and herbal remedies.
